Hi y'all, I'm Brianna, but my sisters and best friends call me Bont! I recently started the Paleo Lifestyle, so I have been cooking a lot! Most of the dishes, I make, I just make up... as I go along. So most meals, I will just share what they are and what's in them.... not really the exact measurements of ingredients... If you are anything like me, I never follow recipes exactly anyway! I get ideas from blogs and websites and just use and substitute what I have in my cupboard.
My doctor suggested that I start the Paleo diet for health reasons. For me it was/is no miracle cure for my undiagnosed illness. However, I have lost 25 lbs in 2 months and am more satisfied on Paleo then any other "diet" I have ever tried. When I was on weight watchers ALL i thought about was food... all day, everyday! This is because I was eating Crap that tricked me into thinking I was still hungry. That along with having to add and keep track of everything I ate was just annoying!!!!!! With Paleo my cravings are minimal and food isn't the only thing on my mind. DON'T get me wrong, I still love to eat, but since starting Paleo I don't get "hAngry" nearly as much!!!
I am going to try and stick to this for the most part, but c'mon! The holidays are coming up... and please believe I will not be depriving myself of Amber's TootsieTillie cupcakes... my mom's enchiladas, Kevins Corn Casserole, Giada's pb cup cookies, my dad's huevos rancheros or Stuffing on thanksgiving!! So as I fall off the wagon... don't worry I'll get back on eventually!
It excites me to get to share some of my Paleo creations with my family. I have been away for close to a year, but I am moving back to Arizona in 20ish days! I can't be more excited! The holidays for my family and me revolve around "goodies" and eating and baking and eating and did I mention eating! I can't wait to incorporate paleo dishes, appetizers and desserts into the mix!!!
I'm so excited about your blog!! I can't wait for delicious recipes and tips! Yay!!
